Rasta in Spanish means “dreadlock”, and is how Malabrigo refers in Spanish to a very thick cord like this yarn. Rasta is a lightly-fulled single-ply yarn of magnum proportions!

Although the supplier qualifies this yarn as a "#6 Super Bulky" I find that it frequently works for patterns calling for "#5 Bulky."
